Ben’s Ranch Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Indianapolis, dedicated to empowering teens facing mental health challenges. Through farm, ranch, and equine-assisted experiences, we connect young people with the healing power of nature in combination with hard work to help them build resilience, confidence, and hope for a brighter future.
Our work is made possible by the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations who share our vision of transforming adolescent lives.
The foundation is named in honor of Ben, a young man whose time on a remote Wyoming ranch during what would have been his senior year of high school profoundly impacted his life. The peaceful surroundings, meaningful work, and connection with horses created a transformation in his troubled life, inspiring our mission to offer similar opportunities to others in need.
“Amazing. I really enjoyed working with the volunteers and the horses. I am so much more comfortable with large animals as I was previously scared. It’s been an amazing journey with all the learning I achieved.”
