Ben’s Ranch Foundation has added a new member to its Board of Directors. Westfield’s Debbie Babcock was recently elected to the Indiana nonprofit’s board and will serve a two-year term.
Babcock is currently the Director of Information Technology at Lumina Foundation – a private foundation in Indianapolis committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), social justice and making opportunities for learning beyond high school available to all. Babcock has years of experience working in Information Technology at various organizations, including The Indianapolis Children’s Museum, Planned Parenthood, Goodwill Education Initiatives, and Indianapolis Public Schools. Babcock holds degrees from Rollins College and Ball State University.
Ben’s Ranch Foundation connects teens struggling with mental health challenges to paid internships with farms, stables and equine therapy facilities. The jobs compliment medical therapies by helping give teens purpose and exposure to the healing powers of animals and nature.
