Carmel-based nonprofit Ben’s Ranch Foundation is launching a search for its first full-time executive director. Organization founder Brose McVey has been serving as a part-time executive director and board chairman since the organization was founded in 2017.
“The plan was always to bring in a paid, professional executive once we realized some level of success and reaching our potential required it,” McVey said. “Hiring an experienced executive director will allow me to focus more on strategic objectives.”
McVey will remain very involved in Ben’s Ranch Foundation and continue to serve as board chairman. The organization has formed a search committee to oversee the hiring process and will accept statements of interest through the end of November.
Ben’s Ranch Foundation connects teens struggling with mental health to paid, part-time internships at farms, stables and equine therapy facilities. The Central Indiana internships harness the healing power of nature and animals and provide teens with a sense of purpose.
