Ben’s Ranch Foundation Expands Provider Network to Create Immediate Openings
New jobs now available for teens! Carmel-based nonprofit Ben’s Ranch Foundation has added new providers and now has immediate paid, part-time internship opportunities available at farms, stables and equine therapy facilities for teens struggling with mental health issues. The Central Indiana internships harness the healing power of nature and animals and provide teens with a sense of purpose.
“We’ve seen rates of depression and anxiety among teens skyrocket during the pandemic,” said Ben’s Ranch Foundation Founder Brose McVey. “We’ve worked hard to expand the number of farms and stables in our network so that we can immediately meet the growing need for services.”
Children’s TherAplay in Carmel, K-Trails Equestrian Adventures in Noblesville and Conner Prairie in Fishers are among the new host facilities recently added by the organization, which has expanded its capacity by 25 percent.
Research shows that getting young people outside is crucial to their mental health. Ben’s Ranch interns report that hard work and connecting to animals also help them deal with anxiety, stress and depression.
The organization has openings available for the upcoming school year. Parents and guardians interested in applying can visit here for more information.
