Ben’s Ranch Foundation has added two new members to its Board of Directors. Jeff Goodwin and Patty Hagen were recently elected to the Indiana nonprofit’s board.
Jeff Goodwin of Fishers currently serves as the Vice President of Insurance Programs at the Indiana Manufacturers Association’s for-profit insurance agency subsidiary. Goodwin holds a B.A. from Indiana University – Bloomington and is a Chartered Life Underwriter, Registered Health Underwriter and a Registered Employee Benefits Consultant. Goodwin is the Immediate Past President of the Indiana State Association of Health Underwriters.
Fishers-resident Patty Hagen is currently the Scecina Memorial High School Director of School Counseling. Hagen also works as the Ben’s Ranch Foundation Case Manager and helps place interns with host farms and stables. Hagen holds an M.S. in School Counseling from Butler University, an M.A. in Education from Ball State University and a B.A.in Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College.
Ben’s Ranch Foundation connects teens struggling with mental health challenges to paid internships with farms, stables and equine therapy facilities. The jobs compliment medical therapies by helping give teens purpose and exposure to the healing powers of animals and nature.
